Freestanding

A Free Standing Home is not bound or constrained on either side and its status is determined by the architecture and floor plan. Most free standing homes have small side yards or patios as well as ample rear patios which often times have a golf course and/or mountain view. The Free Standing Home is usually a two bedroom, two bath residence with carport or garage. Many of the newer models have golf cart parking.

Prices range from $1650.00 to $3000.00 per month with all utilities included. Off season rates are more economical. If you’ve been to Green Valley, make sure you tell us if there is a specific location you like by referring to our map. After living in downsized homes, residents began to realize that the larger closets, spare rooms and parking were still needed. Visiting friends and relatives really like to drop in in the winter time and enjoy Green Valley’s sunny winter climate. Green Valley has now gained a reputation for one of the “Best Places to Retire”.

The majority of our homes are newly built. By “newly” we mean within the last five years. When reserving a home, our manager is able to describe the type of home and the views from a rear or front patio. Green Valley visitors drive through neighborhoods of Mediterranean style red-tiled roofs, into groups of Western and Southwestern style ranch houses, and into areas where the flat-roofed Santa Fe and Territorial types of construction with their distinctive tile drains predominate.

Three shopping malls are built throughout the community of Green Valley making shopping easy and accessible to everyone. Almost all of these homes will be part of the Green Valley Recreation Membership. At last count there were twelve recreation centers. For those properties not having GVR, they are sure to have their own swimming pool and/or tennis court.

The spectacular Santa Rita Mountains can be seen not only from many of the homes but also from the many golf courses that abound here. Green Valley has five public golf courses: Canoa Hills, Haven, San Ignacio, Torres Blancos, and Tortuga. These are open for public play on a daily fee basis. Also, within a 45 minute drive are the Rio Rico and Tubac golf courses.

If golfing isn’t for you, try bird-watching. According to the Tucson Chapter of the Audubon Society more than 470 different species of birds inhabit or visit Southeastern Arizona. This means that Green Valley is right in the middle of one of the best birding areas in the United States. And as a cultural diversion or in celebration of your special holiday, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, The Gas Light Theater, Pima Air and Space Museum and the University of Arizona NCAA Division I sports program are in Tucson, just a short drive north of Green Valley.
